(Cisco training is out of date, any thing dealing with computers (books, cd, ect) is always out of date when it comes out.)

and an OC-768 is
"quite rare, because of the high cost as opposed to link-bundled OC-192 and sheer lack of need for such speeds"

Meh if you have those speeds you would out run the severs, meaning that your download wouldn't be at 9.6 gigs a second, it would be more like 100MB per second becuase the sever wouldn't have that kind of upload speed. I know a kid who has a fiber optic running into his house and he gets 14MBs which is acutally about all you need to be fast.

I wouldn't need that. I'd just go with T2 or T3

Yeah, I got 11 mb/s and it's plenty fast. At this point in time, I don't see why you would ever need anything that fast. :?

Indeed. I'd say Broadband is enough, T1 is good, But who on EARTH would want that? It would just be faster, probably instant downloads of 1gb, but imagine the price range.

just watch, in 10 years file sizes will sky rocket, and the average will be about 10 gigs a sec.

although i cant possibly imagine what we will be downloading that is that big, but there will be something. my dad told me when he rememberd seeing a 256mb hard drive for 250$...so technology is always growing rapidly

yeah, too bad the wireless n stuff today is only pre-N. i'm going to wait until it's finalized, because all taht's happening rights now is companies are pushing out stuff with N and promises of better speeds on the label. it's not really ready for much yet.
