Thank God, a mac editor. I don't have to use my crappy windows anymore to do some mods. I hope this comes out soon.

not sure about a release date this app has been in production for a long time i started it late last year starting out just being a tiny halo 2 map opener then formed into a more powerfull halo 2 app then now progressed to a halo 1 and halo 2 halo map editor. it has been solo written, and my first app (hate to say it) and has only had other peoples input for ideas but still most of them came from me but i love my beta testers for there support cause i need it at times when i hit some brick walls and get a bit down about it lol thanks tunesrus and his friend sosumi... and soldier of light before he went to brok3n halo i think
but i do live a social life and manage a girlfriend for two inbetween so making this app is something i try to speed as much time as possible on but can not always work on
if anyone has some halo1 ifps or ents please send them to me or get in contact with someone that can contact me cause i really want to start working on a reflexive chunk adder for halo 1 but i need to have a decent reflexive map for that to work and it would just be good to show off my app with some decent halo 1 ifps

Dude...How?...When?...Please be soon!! It looks so useful for us mac modders *begins to build a shrine to worship him*
EDIT: Please put an inject model button in! I highly dislike obj converter. It would make mod SOOO much easier to make! Keep up the awesome work!

I doubt this, but could this open Halo 2 or Halo CE maps and put them in a Mac/PC usable format? I doubt it, but I haven't seen anything saying it won't.

is it just me or does that not make sense?[C]Paul95 wrote:I doubt this, but could this open Halo 2 or Halo CE maps and put them in a Mac/PC usable format? I doubt it, but I haven't seen anything saying it won't.

If this app can convert Halo CE maps to readable mac/pc format, I will worship the maker for 200 years. If it can convert Halo 2 maps to readable Halo 1 format, I will die and worship you from the afterworld (heaven, hell, i don't know!). Well, I shouldn't press you to work faster, but good job on this!

Usually they'll say no, but whatever, it's worth a shot.

Ok i know it has been a while and all of you may thing this project is dead but no it just takes time and time is not easy while going through school and having a girl friend but here is a small update
BSP Render / Editor
ok the bsp is not made by me it is made by a guy called mike i am not sure how popular he wants to become so i am not going to give out his AIM. He did not totally make the BSP render, i parse the raw data and convert it into understandable data and then he created the render. if you ask me he is doing a bloody good job so far as from what i have seen. you may think this will limited it's cross platform idea well the answer to that is yes and no supported platform for the bsp viewer will be Windows, Linux, and Mac and possibly solaris (not 100% sure) the bsp viewer uses jogl (jave bindings for openGL) so it uses opengl under the skin this will require extra libarys need to be installed for this to work. i will had out OS java update installers for each OS which will contain java updates for each OS so you will not have to ever worry about the libarys
Here are the screen shots
Textures are not implemented yet but i am working on parsing the texture data then mike will fix it in the render

about halo CE to halo 2 map conversion and all that no way am i going to do that to do that you would need to remap each value with it's pair in the other version of halo which would take ages and is more a meta expert which knows tag values very well but my program has very good support for program add ons which allow someone to create an add on to do it if they want and it will allow them to us alot of my code and framework
the add on areas for my program will be
Plugin Reading and Writing (meta data plugins)
UserInterface (GUI)
Meta Editors (meta editing GUI)
Map Tag Exporting and Importing (to allow for different formats Entity format, dot halo format and so on)
and raw handlering (this will allow custom raw handles of my parsed raw data so you can display it in your own GUI format)
all of this add ones will have to be programmed in java
i am not looking for beta testers currently and my program is fair from complete but feature requests and questions are still very much welcome[/img]
