Halo PC movie help.

Hello. I posed a message similar to this message in the new people forum before I realized that there was a movie forum.

Anyways, I was hoping to start making some Halo vids (gameplay and story based if I find the energy) but all I have is Halo PC.

I'm really new to the halo scene, so I don't really know anyone that could help me with this (and honestly, I'm not sure I'd even like the help, it'd be embarassing!) so Im trying to hack it solo.

Is there any way to make movies solo? I mean, so far I've got rid of the hud and the weapons and all that, so I have a nice clean camera, but I've got no characters to film!

Can I add controllable spartans to a map (multi or campaign) or is there a way that I can controller multiple characters with one copy of the game?

I tried loading the game on both my laptop and my desktop but for obvious reasons that didn't work, so I don't know what to do.

I found the very basic HMT tricks like shooting out spartans from the pistol, but those are all inanimate (or semi-inanimate) so they don't really serve my purpose.

I also found a cheat at gamefaqs that said with the devmode enabled you can control any character you bump into, but I'm guessing that works kinda like that movie with Denzel Washington where that demon was passing from person to person and who ever a possessed person touched because possessed themselves and stuff. What I mean is, if I bump into another character, I'm guessing I'll have control of that character but lose control of the previous character.

I know there are a lot of questions in this post, and I hope that I'm not missing something super obvious that could be found out my searching around. But if anyone has any ideas how I could pull this off, I'd be greatful.

Oh, and just to clafify I don't think I'll need multiple characters on screen at once like RvB, I just want to be able to control a camera and control a spartan to run around as my character.
