[APP] PropperRenamerTool

Post by DarkMetal »

PropperRenamerTool
-by DarkMetal

Features:
Renames Map Name
Renames Map Scenario
Add Bytes to Map
All Proper

I made this application because someone asked me about renaming things within the size limit. To my knowledge it renames them proper. This is for those new people who don't know how to use hex
The Byte-Adder was an experimentation that turned out working, so I left it in there for you guys to experiment with.

Have Fun.

Good job, and very simple UI  But, isn't there a program that can already do this? I think it was called Map Renamer Pro.
Gamefreak249 needs a sig. PM me if you can make me one.
Or add me on MSN.

Map Renamer Pro was limited to Xbox LIVE Downloadable Content maps only. On top of that... it wasn't proper :P

Mine doesn't limit you to what you want it to be named....and yes, the UI is simple. I don't think anything with this small of a magnitude deserves a good ui.

I don't really think I would ever use this (I made my own) but this has a simple UI. I suggest A resign option.

Size that pic down, it just takes up room. I will use this a lot. Great job on being able to make the map names bigger and the scenarios too. You should update it with an icon (It is too great of a program not to have an icon) and the ability to resign.

Yes. I just tested it.

Here is a pic I took with the extened name in DotHalo

What I meant was you can only rename it to Xbox LIVE map names.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I had to do something with my spare time :P

For some random reason I could always make my maps names longer than the original, Like I could make lockout.map, lockdowninlockout.map and it would work as long as the scenario matched the files name.

I don't think the internal name needs to match the map name, it's better to, so that your modded map can't play with an unmodded map.
