Firefox Beta 2 :D

Post by Phenomena »

W00T!

Its quite nice. :P It comes with a built in spell checker and some other features I have yet to discover yet. :)

You can get the beta from browsing the FTP server here or you can download the US English Win32 directly from here.

heh this spell checker is handy. >_>

What's New in this Development Milestone

There is a lot in Firefox 2 Beta 2 that you can play around with and give us feedback on:

* Built in Phishing Protection
* Enhanced search engine management and search suggestions for Google, Yahoo! and Answers.com
* Improvements to tabbed browsing, including the ability to re-open recently closed tabs
* Firefox will resume from where you left off after a system crash or browser restart
* Better support for previewing and subscribing to Web feeds
* Inline spell checking in Web forms
* The ability to create bookmarks with "Live Titles" for Web sites that offer microsummaries
* New Add-ons manager that simplifies management of extensions and themes.
* Support for JavaScript 1.7

Nobody's going to blame you for using something that's faster and more reliable*; that is why Firefox was created.

In the old fire fox

Type: About:config

In the adress bar and hit enter. Then enable pipelining.

This will make firefox 10 times faster.

Yes, if you download Firefox beta 2 and go on these forums and type something like "wat", it would underline it in red.
