This isnt complete. Sure we have system link and stuff. But this thread should be to help with Ai to i think. And help improove it.

I've got my ai spawning in vehicles
they don't move but i got them spawning in a ghost and they stay still and shoot at u if they see u.

Ok, The premise of this topic was to make AI in MP, Meaning spawn a biped thorugh scnr 352, and make it shoot you without scripts, Everyone saying that AI in MP isnt complete does not know what they are talking about, We did it, All we need to do now is just perfect it but AI in MP is done, Thats what I mean by complete, Now I live in florida and this fucking storm knocked my electricity out so I couldnt work on the mod I only got like 25 minutes to work on it sorry but its not my fault Ill try and get it fixed today, Im setting new zones and paths for the AI and spawn about 2 squads with 20 or so AI in each

Edit: reason these AI dont move is because AI_paths (scnr 576) is disabled.

could you possible use grunts / elites?

Edit: and rotten I've been reading most of your comments (not only in this topic) and I really dont appreciate them, You talk sooooo much shit and yet you wont do it yourself im really getting tired of you saying "this is far from complete" lets see how far this would have gotten if you did any of this, and dont tell me "well I dont know how to do it" Bullshit, your too lazy to learn thats all, so keep your comments to yourself and be happy with what you got, and this is my topic I feel like the main goal has been reached and you are not going to make me change it at all. and im not starting a flame war I just needed to get that off of my chest because you were pissing me off ,but w/e im done with it and there is no need for you to write back with any senseless comments.

main goal.....they stand in the middle and have the capability to shoot you........

this isnt complete.....
but why dont you try to do it with runts and such....in campeign i saw no point where there was an mc with ai......

you got trouble reading or what.. its not complete but the first steps are there now.. and can't you read or what? i asked him if he would add grunts/elites, and so he would do.. i suggest reading a topic before making any posts again.

Oh my lord, Scottygee is seriously right with this community, Ok look, First we get AI in MP everyones excited for about a day, now every one wants it to move, then once again excited for about a day, then they want scarabs in the map that happens and once again happy for a day or two, Then they want pelicans and phantoms flying everywhere with a huge scarab destroying everything, I grant you yes it would be cool but it takes time and when you say shit like its not complete your pretty much spitting in my face say look dumbass you worked this hard to get to tihs point but im not satisfied I want you to slave all day infront of the computer until I get my scarab which at that point you probly still wont be happy because there might be a small bug and then you will just complain and start bitching about that, Dont bitch anymore because its going to discourage me to continue my work so let me work at my own pace and be happy with what you have.

I will be teaching myself with some tutorials and hope to achieve further ai but what u have done is amazing!

lol that smiley box is very creative lol. 10 kudos, anyways sorry for like flippin out earlier this freaking hurricane is driving me insane but yeah, you all will be very happy to know that I enabled paths to be used in the map but now I need to know how to set them XD, lol ok ima go back to work ill keep you guys posted.

question: so these ai's are lost in the bsp. what if you used a singleplayer bsp converted to mp, like my high_9 bsp. wouldnt it already have the zones mapped out and stuff or am i wrong?

so far wut every one has achieved isn't much to be amazed about. just thank Entity and yelo those r the real things that r amazing. if i figured out how to get all the AI in mp working before this Project AI then anyone can. the reall amazing things will be once someone adds paths or enabels random movment.
I'm just saying that everyone wanted AI soooo badly, now that u have it u r relizing that u didn't even want it. Personally I think that with entity we have made good progress and yes there still is more to go but if u r expecting perfect ai like it'll be a whole new game...... I recomend you to wait, then get a 360, then get halo 3. I agree with truelife8342 and scottygee.

ADDED: o ya and so not to double post we've tried SBSP convertions.... they don't keep the paths

No when you convert the bsp it doesnt bring over the paths, they are stored somewhere in scnr 576, But I dont know how to set them, all im trying to do first is get my guy to drive around in circles in a warthog.

Edit: and mily you couldnt share any information with the community on how to do it....riiiiiight.........

What if you copied the paths reflexive from the map the BSP was converted from. IE take the reflexive from the scnr of highcharity.map and add the reflexive to the high_9 conversion map. Wouldn't the paths that are already set in the reflexive you copied over match to the converted BSP?
