Looks like a texture that shouldn't be used there.

the level itself is just a bunch of squares like that for testing textures

The first picture looks like a massive image without any compression. A 640x480 image should not be 900kb.

alrihgt its decided.... that is a wood texture
I orriginally was going for a rather extremely weathered metal texture ....you'd think after a few years of spartans big metal feet draggin across it and bullet marks it'd be kinda destroyed... rather than like on Beaver Creek where you get a fresh new base to play with every time

for metal, it would need blending with the colors. a lot of blending.
I do not mod halo, so please do not send me Instant Messages asking how.
Also, do not send me pm's regarding modding halo.

A box map would be pretty fun if it was bigger lol.
Is something like this what you had in mind?
That's ripped from prime btw

*sigh* the map itself is called "texture test" I just use it to test different textures..... I spent like.... 5 minutes on that map ...
and yea that texture is the idea I had in my mind when I started this... but I thought it looked decent as it was... but when I put it ingame and actually looked at it... I was like "this looks like wood" lol
