i was trying to do ai but it wont works.....TOO HARD FOR ME

Ok ill give you this, you pretty much got a working crea tag in a map, honestly thats all this is so if consider those birds flying above you in delta_aproach AI then yes you got VERY VERY and let me emphasize VERY simple AI, So ill will take back some of the things I said but this is still no where near the final AI in MP project. But if any one would like I would be more than willing to start over completly from scratch with the community and make AI in MP together. That is if people will actually do it. PM me if your interested.

Damn long read...

ok, here's my 2 cents:
first off, most of you are thinking in terms of halo 2 AI. AI is in itself a giant topic which smaller sub-topics must fit into. Is this Halo 2 AI? Well, maybe not. But is this AI? This question leads me into my next topic.

It depends on what you define as A.I. If you think caterpillars, or starfish, have natural intelligence, then yes, it's AI. Caterpillars and starfish have ganglia. Basically, for every condition they have a set action to perform. This is how the infections work. Their objective is to get to you and hit you. If something gets in their way, they navigate around it. If they miss you, they pause, find you again, and try again. Do they have a brain? No. But would they have a ganglia? Yes. Nasty little buggers...

And finally, search around. There's a tutorial on how to get a spawned biped hold a weapon from start. Someone better start on this before I do, because I just might not share it...

that wouldn't work, idk y but when i did that in mp and spawned ai the same way, they still had no gun. its probably because u spawn the char not the bipd, otherwise u could spawn the bipd with the weapon, but it wouldn't have any intelegence

i did not try to add ai to the flood carrior, i just used that as a way to spawn the infection

oh, btw, it's skayter's guide. I understand how spawning the char may cause this to not work with AI, but it's worth a try, right?

hey go ahead gie it a shot, but i'm sure it won't work, and the char migt not be able to use that because thats not how the bipd realy works

Hmm i don't really see what people are mad about, or if they are even mad :?

But i think this is one of the most amazing things released lately....

its just completely different and allows you and 4friends to have a laugh trying to survive the flood on the map when you have low ammo and no shield. give it a go its fun :D

GJ on this AI its isn't fully AI but its hella fun! :D

i still think i have something with my theory here...the AI wont move because there might be something more to the BSP's...navigation paths that allow the AI to freely move around...

This is a sort of AI. And i find it very fun but the lag is kinda of bad, Well, Its better than nothing... :) 8/10 for theme and AI attempt. :)

i've never seen AI in MP i give it a 14536e135253/10 IT TO COOL FOR WORDS :shock:

Try not to post massive amounts of characters that stretch the page, stick to scientific notation :wink:

Really does that work?

i tried that with the elite commander and they just sat there and looked at me with evil eyes and big mouths. so i shot them. :D

Well AI isn't easy, its not like you get 5 nerds, coke-a-cola, and a bunch of computers and 2 days later theres AI. Its more like 50 Nerds, Cocaine, and Supercomputers, then 2 weeks later you get AI.
