Need MAJOR HELP with modding original halo 2 maps

I was able to mod the downloaded maps (thanks to the help of the site ) but I cannot figgure out how to mod the old maps ( lockout, zanzibar, etc.) I tried to copy halo 2 onto my modded xbox but it came up with an error, I am guessing that is how you do it, but can anyone walk me through this, thank you so much.

P.s. I am using the unleash X dashboard.

1.First put Halo 2 on your HDD with DVD 2 Xbox
2.see if if Halo2 will run off the hdd.
3. try ftping into your xbox and see if your problem lies there
4. ftp into your xbox go to your games folder-->halo2-->maps
