k im having probs with a pivoting turret
when looking forwards, and looking in any (counter)clockwise direction its fine as shown in this picture
http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=main/8/2 ... .jpg&s=f10
but when looking downwards this happens
http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=main/8/2 ... .jpg&s=f10
and when looking upwards, this happens
http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=main/8/2 ... .jpg&s=f10
now i happen to know that its following a pivot path in the shape of a parabola

However, i dont know how to shorten that path. If anyone has any ideas that would be most awsome lol

ya i messed around with the unknowns for about 3 hours and all the results were...less then pleasing. THe only good result i got was completly freezing the model in place so it couldnt move upwards or downwards or look side to side. It could only face forwards. But this defeated the purpose of having a driver controlled turret. I may just scratch this idea untill more about the jmad is found.

Don't fret. We actually know quite a bit about jmad. For example we can link a JMAD to another JMAD. So you could link the up and down pivot to, say, the idle animation.

Unfortunatly the problem with the pivoting cannot be solved by that tut. THe info provided was for the MC poses. THe only animation calls for the Guntower are the idal pose and the pivoting. THe turret was meant to be huge (like in SP0 so the pivoting wouldnt be a problem. However since the model itself shrunk doesnt mean the animation did. So unless more info on the jmad is found i dont think we can fix this problem.

You scaled it down, right? I would guess it's still pivoting around the same point it always did.
I suggest you try to figure out where the focus of that parabola is (the pivot point, I mean). Then, in the mode tag, move the bone there. You'll also have to adjust the position of the hog's turret marker, since the turret will now be floating in the air.
