GUN MODELS (not how to model)

Ok when i remodel guns in milkshape they look good but i want to know how people make them look like real guns like m16 and ar15s and stuff. is their a setting that im missing or what. btw this is for milkshape and halo pc. im not talking about starting from scratch im talking about remodeling. like that outstanding mod on bloodgulch. he made a sexy gun . my guns are moved dots . please help

there is a gun modeling tut on the site, but i dont know where it is but im sure u can search for it
