NEED HELP REINSTALLING SEARCH COMPANION PLZ HELP :(

alright so guys i was gettin rid of some virus's by searchin for em and i did it worked and my computer became alot faster and i accidently deleted stuff for my search companion and i was lookin for a forums on microsofts site that i can ask for help on but it wouldnt let me register so im turning to the only place i ever recieved any help.... here so my question is this can someone help me reinstall my search companion i know to go to the inf folder and all but im missing files and i got everything i need but courtny.acs and courtny.ac_ so i was wondering is there any other method to reinstalling my search companion plz help this is important to me.

OMFG YES I WENT THROUGH ALL THAT ALREADY AND THAT WAS THE PART WHERE I SAID I NEEDED A FILE CALLED COURTNY.AC_ AND .ACS UUUUGH if i may get actual help i would appreciate it so much.

search companion as in the dog thing? i'm not sure where it's data is located, i've never really searched with it. is a search companion really necessarry?

also, please use punctuation, it'll help us understand your problem better.

u know that thing u use to search your hard drive its that that i cant use anymore i accidently deleted important files for it.

yo i fixed it myself thanks for the offer though its nice to know you guys are willing to help anyway if anyone else ever has this problem just download windows xp service pack 2 itl fix you right up you gotta restart your comp though for it to finish. ty for help guys.
