A question about my kinda broken xbox... need a little help

Ok, i used to mod alot, i stoped for ages and decieded to come back to modding. well i installed my unleashed x dash, and backed up my M$ dash. Then, i heard about the new XBMC dash, so i decided that i wanted that instead, i didnt realise u had to FTP it to your xbox, so i uninstalled my unleashed dash. I found out i had to FTP the XBMC, so i then went to install my Unleashed, but i only installed the softmod, not the dash! so.... now my xbox dont work. Im gussing (as i still have the back up on the hdd) i could probably take it out and coppy the full thing into the right place, BUT my entire screen is black, does that mean there is also sumthing wrong with th bios and if so, is it just well and truley broken? OK thanks for any help...
(just to clear up, can i put my hardrive in my pc and replace the M$ dash, and/ or do i need to do sumthing else as well, or is it just broken?)

Yes, a chip can fix a broken softmod. There are a lot of benefits of a chip over a softmod so check out Xbox Scene for more information. I'm going to have to lock this topic though as this isn't an xbox modding forum...
