1. Yes
2. Select the patch first.. If you've set your maps folder in the setup tab, the source map should be automatically selected. (assuming the person making the patch made it from a map with the original filename and not something like "Copy of lockout.map", "lockout_orig.map", etc..)
3. Check the output map name, if it's the same as the source map, it will overwrite it.. It depends on the person making the patch; if their source and modified maps were named the same, it will overwrite yours when applying by default.. If that's the case, you can still change the output map before applying if you want to keep the original.

Sorry for all this question but i have one last question.

I don't have the Map Pack but i have the maps of the map pack, i haven't updated my Halo 2. But one map, indicution( i think that's the name) uses gemini.map as source, i have that map so if i use serenity and unpatch it then could i still use it without having the update???

I need help with applying the serenity patch. do I patch a existing halo 2 map and list it the mainmenu map or creat a new map? plus I have a old serenity program because it says it is. where do I get a update? I have v2. Thanks anyone please help.

go to the utilities section and there is a sticky for v3.2 also you patch an existing map and it makes a new one and if you use the mainmenu option it will add it for you.

Do you by-chance have your auto-update enabled? If so, you need to disable it.

FTP to your Tdata folder, find the Halo 2 folder (xxxxxxxx64), and re-name "$U" to something else.

Thanks for making serenity patches and not ppf or sppf. With serenity it tells you what map the patch is for and you dont have to go around aksing everyone. Thanks!! I'll download when i get home

These new maps are awsome. Mimesis is easy to install. The maps don't take that long to download once you have installed Mimesis. Xboxconnect has a mimesis Icon/server thingy, so why aren't there a ton of people playing???
