whenever that happens, i re-install the game, but im sure there is a much more efficiant way of doing it

STFU. it's your own fault you forgot to backup your maps. it's the absolute first, most important thing you should do if you ever plan on halo modding or playing mods. and to think that all of this time could have been saved with just a copy & paste...
