Looking pretty good
You might want to brighten the armor and visor just a little, and the visor looks a title to greenish, try around (126,78,15) that's mine and I'm happy with it.
On second thought, if you aren't going for ingame... That dark green looks pretty cool

Is there anyway to make a simple animation (like a light blinking on and off) repeat on for infinity or till the end of the total frames without animating it all by hand?

the visor is not the right color (blue-ish chrome ingame). Is he supposed to be left handed? Looking pretty good other than that. You might want to zoom in to show off the bumps a little more.
Edit:
You can have two materials (one on and one off in multi/sub) and add a material mod to the stack and animate that in a cycle and then clone the cycle a bunch of times (each time you can clone a bigger chunk). Or are you using an actual light? (as in omni, spot ect.)
OR... You could animate the mix on a material if you want it to fade on and off.

i made him left handed, cuz im left handed an i never seen any renders of left handed shooters.
theres bigger. i need to make a mask for the detail bump though so its not everywhere.

Your bump looks ugly, as does the detail map. Just use the regular bump, but blur it some, so it dosent seem icky. And you are using the wrong cubemap for the visor.

Nevermind, I figured it out, you can make any animation loop for infinity by using the Out-of-Range Types program in the curve editor.

Hdri, with a high reflection setting on the armour. I am recreating it now =o
*edit* Here is mine, i used a different hdri map, but you can get the gist of it.
