when are you gonna post a halo 2 version of this map?

cool remake of the e3 video...i really like how well it resembles that scene. some of the textures need better UVs and some of the materials need to be re-identified as different elements, one example being the elevated freeway...its rubber
besides those issues, very cool map. The halo 2 version should be a blast.

Campaign, I wouldn't think would be too hard. The hardest part would be setting up a huge script, if you were going to include Camera Points and Triggers for Custscenes.
I've only made a map with four different cuscene points in it, and only three of them have the cameras looking at the right point correctly.

Giggity-giggity-giggity, whoa!
Super sexy, so sexy, so awesomely awe-inspiring and intriguing.
Props on the Covenant Guntower, would fit excellently into other maps, but here are three things I would change/add:
-Plasma Projectile- must be changed.
First off, it has to charge, right? When it does, use the charging effect of the Plasma Pistol, tweaked. In the E3 demo, that's pretty much what it looked like, the Halo 1 PP charge effect, 'cept it was bigger to fit the scale of the cannon, and the energy streaks that radiate from the charging projectile are longer, oscillating, and pulsating. Watch the video at Bungie for details.
Second, the projectile that it volleyed is much bigger than a Wraith mortar, and it's trajectory is much, much straighter than that of a Wraith mortar. The Guntower Mortar itself resmbles a huge Plasma Grenade w/ the ring-contrails of a Wraith Mortar, the tail and corona of a Plasma Grenade, and also a long blue streak, like the contrails of CMT's Needler Turret. Also, these mortar shots detonate after an elapsed amount of time, like Needler rounds.
Lastly, use the appropriate firing and charging sounds, from Halo 2.
-Turret Traverse Rate- way too high for such a large weapon, the gun is as, "dextrous" for lack of a better word, as the significantly smaller Shade turret. Slow it down a bit, but not too drastically.
-Destructible Feature- fair in gameplay considering how powerful the cannon is, and even better for an epic explosion in Machinima movies. It has immediate explosion in two stages. In the first stage, it flash-splodes like the CMT Needler Turret rounds, except horizontally and not vertically, and throws out small bits of superheated debris, and in the second stage, it blows up entirely: with a huge explosion and expulsion of plasma gas, large sections of the cannon breaking up and falling off, and the remaining, blackened wreckage. Once again, see the video at Bungie.net, and once again, swap in the appropriate explosion sounds.
This could be in H2 Cityscape, mb?
Everything else is great, and an excellent replica of the E3 demo BSP, not to mention superlative modelling and skinning of the Guntower.
