NOOB NEEDS HELP

I know the basics of modding but i dont know how to skin! I need all the nesscary programs to skin. plz direct a noob in the right direction.

U need to get hmt3, a program like photoshop, paintshop pro with a dds option when u open and save, for photoshop u can get the plugin from nvidia. go to bitmaps in hmt then open it up in the program but click no to see mipmaps, do your crap then save it inject back in.

There is an alternative to photoshop. Go into the files section and there will be a program that lets you cahnge dds files into jpegs or bmps, then back again. Called convim or somethin. BUT you will need a hex editor to make the dds files anything other than dxt1. The converter only makes dxt1, so you will need to change it to a dxt3, or 5, or an ARGB or whatever in a hex editor.
