Network Problems on live

Ive been having alot of network problems on live. Its starting to tick me off. I have heard that your routers security could be causing the problem. I do have wireless but i dont got alot of lagg, and my 360 is wired to the wirless router (I have wireless just for my laptop and pc). I think i need to forward a port called 3074 or sumthing. Anyone got any ideas?

By network problems you mean can't connect to games becuase it says they're having netowrk problems right? http://www.portforward.com/ is an exelent site to tell you how to port foward with your router, you also may want to update your firmware, witch you MUST do with a wired connection to your router, or you'll fry it.
