Need help.. i have no clue...

ok i got my xbox bout a month ago but i beat pretty much all my games and i just heard of this xbox chip thingy. now youve probally heard this like a million time from everyone else but what is this chip thing, where do i buy it, how much is it, how do i use it, and WHAT IS IT FOR?????!!!!

I no this seems like alot of crap to help some complete stranger who u dont care whether or not he finds out or not but still it would be nice if at least someone would help me plz thx
