Have modded Xbox w/EvoX; need help with Halo-specific Moddin

I am new to the Halo-modding world. I have EvoX dash installed on my Xbox which is chipped with an Xecuter 2.3b pro. If you can, answer these questions which are probably stupid in your eyes:

1. Do I need to make a copy(ftp and then mod files or something?) of Halo in order to mod maps/guns/stuff? Or can I use the original disc?

2. If I ever do get modded maps to work on my Xbox, if I host a system link game, what will happen to the other non-modded Xboxes in the game? (Will there be an error, will they be able to play the modded maps, etc?)

3. Does anyone know how to install any Halo trainer? (I have a couple, including the CZN one.) How do you do it?

4. Am I so stupid that I should stop messing around with mods and stop wasting your time?

1) You need to copy the cache00x.map from the X, Y or Z drive and mod that.
2) You can only use mods for textures, sounds, recticles, shaders and zooms over system link - anything else will go out of sync, unless both boxes have EXACTLY the same changes.
3) Its a patch so get a program which applies that type of patch and apply it to the default.xbe. Make sure its for your region (NTSC or PAL). Also this wont work over system link unless you both/all have the same trainer and the same cheats on.
4) Everyone has to start somewhere. Even the best were clueless to start with.
