Red and Yellow checkers in Lightmaps

IN SAPIEN^^^^^^^^

Why in the world would this display correctly in sapien and not ingame?! I have never had this problem before! I have ran radiosity in tool and sapien. I have never seen this so I am totally confused!!!! :x

All I did was add a different sky, and then ran radiosity. All looked good so I exited sapien after saving, and then I built the cache file. Open CE, and BAM! Colors everywhere! Red and yellow squares of light from hell. Why?!?!

I've rendered it like 3 times now, and the same problem is there every time. Any ideas?! PLEASE?! I jsut need this for a video I am making with some of my clanmates.

Delete the old lightmap, then run tool.

Thanks for the response.

Deleting the lightmaps from the level's folder isn't enough. I can't render radiosity with tool looking for some bitmap file, so I deleted the links to the bitmap file.

Taking out the link and setting all the lightmap bitmaps to -1 seemed to get rid of the tool.exe error, but still I have evil yellow and red crap. Its actual lighting too because when I drive under the red, my warthog turns red, and the same thing goes for the yellow squares.

Why would it show up correctly in Sapien? Do I need to reinstall HEK?

Open the bsp in guerrilla and delete the first line, it says "lightmap [levels\test\bloodgulch\bloodgulch.bitmap]"
Delete the levels....\bloodgulch.bitmap
Save it
and then rerun lightmaps.
It's referencing the lightmaps to make it easier for it to make them, but since it doesn't exist, it cna't do that. Also, with the old reference and a new sky, it messes everything up.

ok, ok.. I understand what everyone is saying, so I'm pretty sure I must be doing something wrong before I even hit the lightmaps. After deleting all traces of the old bitmap lightmap file, I ran radiosity through tool, and it seemed to work. Opened sapien, and all was well. Built the cache file, opened CE, and this is what I see!

Image

?!?!!?! Could radiosity be screwed up? Is it that I extracted bloodgulch incorrectly? Is it that I extracted the bloodgulch from PC and not CE?

Oh, and if I am missing something in the tool build:

EDIT:

Very odd. I ripped the halo2bloodgulchv2, and used its lightmap. Using a totally different lightmap should at least make it look different. NOPE! It's apparently not the lightmaps or something is very screwed up because if its not lightmaps, what the hell is it?! Why would it shade my car different colors according to what color I'm under?!

Run radiosity and then rename the output file (it should be bloodgulch.bitmap) then replace the reference in your BSP, it might be that it doesn't want to add it to the bitmaps.map.

There is a small bit a refrenceing in another tag probably, but either way, is there a way to fix the problem when the lightmaps are messed up in sapien, but fine ingame?
