Why did this happen?

Is somebody flaming or causing problems? Is there a post that is too large for content? Moderators will check here often to discover problems quickly.

Why did this happen?

Post by Elite747 »

Ok before I begin I would like everyone to know I don't want to start up any issues and I am sorry for my flame.

Ok Just three days ago I was suspended until today for a flaming offence. But I was never given any warning or anything. Just a flat out ban.
Halomods Rules wrote:Strike One- Not all that serious, you may have been caught flaming, or something of that nature. You will receive a pm from the Moderator/Junior Admin/Admin that put you on Strike 1 explaining why. (Note: Once you get a strike, you have it, and its not going away, so DON'T go crying about it trying to get rid of it)

Strike Two- This will happen if you have received a strike one and continue to flame, spam, ect. You will once again receive a pm from the Moderator/Junior Admin/Admin that caught you, and you can consider yourself on PROBATION. You will receive an automatic 2 day ban for this.

Strike Three- You're out of here! The admin will call up a few Moderators/Junior Admins/Admins and discuss your case, you WILL get banned, may it be temporary or permanent. It is all up to them on the length, it may be 24 hours, or 2 years, it all depends on what you have done (yes we keep track)
Now if I have interpreted this correctly I sould have gotten a strike 1, NOT A SUSPENTION!
So I ask: was this supposed to happen? This was not at all fair to me since I have read and understood the rules. Tell me if there was something that was differant. Tell me if this was right or wrong for this to happen.
Do not argue with the enforcement of the above rules.
If any HaloMods Forum Staff Member tells you to comply with one of these rules, you must comply;
Ok I am complying with these rules. A mod or admin, as far as I can see, isn't. :?

Also a side note: don't say it didn't hurt anything, cus it did. I missed out on a lot of posts and one of my topics fell halfway down the page and I can't post in it without someone saying, "dont bump topics. :LOCKED:"

we are allowed to break the whole strike system if we see that the flame or whatever it may be is serious enough.

[quote="Universal HaloMods Rules"]Before I explain the strike system, I want to make it clear, that any Moderator/Junior Admin/Admin can have you banned on site if what you have done is horrific enough (spamming up the forums, racism, threatening any user, posting a leaked file, and cracks of any nature). In the end, it is the Admin's decision (So it

Alright, let's not take things out of context. The whole reason the people with "power" have and enforce rules at all is to make this a friendlier and better "community." The friendlier this place is, the more appealing it will be to people. The more appealing this place is to people the more people we will have join, and the better our community will be. It's a win/win situation for them to be nice and to keep this place running smoothly. Let's not exaggerate and blow things out of proportion.

If you have issues with this place and how it's run, I suggest you either get over it or quietly leave.

If it was acceptable, you wouldn't see so many users a day being banned like TFD. Why even ask?

ive my reasons...which will stay unknown till i see that i can openly discuss them....probly never.
besides it might have been thoughts acceptable for staff to flame frame and abuse but not non-staff.

If you see any staff abusing their powers, feel free to contact one who you trust and who isn't abusing their powers.

I believe from Dalek's opinion, he doesn't actually trust any of the mods. I'm not sure how well that would work.

This is serious Dalek, if you find someone abusing their power, you must report it to someone.
