Your "tweaked" model looks like a completely different model.  Your spinning rotors look like flat discs.  
How did you do the zanzibar wheel thing?  Cuz I seem to remember someone trying that once, and it didn't work.  Like, the wheel got left behind when the vehicle moved or something... but I guess you didn't get to move yours, so you wouldn't know for sure if it'd work.
Team Liquid Metal has, as one of its projects, a helicopter idea.  Recently a breakthrough has been made by one of our team members which will allow a spinning rotor to be placed on a vehicle.  I would love to explain the process, but it was not my discovery, so it's not mine to share, but you can probably expect to see something; pictures at least; from us soon.  
I've gotten as far as testing it and had an object spinning around on the back of a vehicle, but haven't taken the time yet to really set up a propellor.

thiswould be cool as a remake of the paintball place i go... they have 2 crashed helicopters on one of the fields... if you make a paintball mod and amke it so u can climb into it and use it that would be AWSOME!
