[WIP] Flood Season (inspired by pokecancer made by me)
i should have newer pics up later today, i added some glow bugs, fixed teleporters, fixed the sky kinda (not the sky i want it wont load a sky with fog for some reason) i'm able to make alot of adjustments i couldnt before now because the new entity is out so this will definetly stay a work in progress for a while but only because i really want to make this map worth it for everyone, including myself. this is about 3 weeks worth of work for me now, trying and failing then succeeding but finding new problems as i go along. please everyone keep giving me suggestions though, i need more scenery i want to find a way to add a waterfall or something that looks like it but i have no clue how so if anyones got ideas on that i would love to hear them.

well, you already got the active scenery rain, i was going to suggest that :p
maybe add a few lights inside the base? like change the color of them to an ambient blue, or deep purple.
Also, for the sky thing, perhaps try injecting the lockout sky? it also has a fpch(i think), then you can just swap the patch for the gemeni one?

nothing with fog works, i am going to add some lights inside the bases, and i am going to have some sort of looping ambient creek noise.
also there is a waterfall now.
when i get some time i will update the pictures but i dont want to do it until i know all the things i did are staying in, some of them i am just testing out. i think ii might start all over too to make a cleaner map, along the way i messed up and injected some stuff i dont want that dramatically changed the file size.

i hate messing a map i hardcore skinned and then do something to make it work, only having to re-inject all the bitmaps...easy to do..but annoying nonetheless
i guess once i start getting far into the mod the where i wouldnt wanna start over im gonna start making patches for backups and stuff

I've been experimenting a bit with swapping out the parts of an effe to make a kind of continuous splash-like effect (when you just spawn a splash effe, it cycles--I wanted a continuous one). I've made some progress, and even labelled a few things in the effe plugin and posted it at Haloplugins.
Unfortunately, I was never able to figure out where the color of the prt3's was defined, so what I've got wouldn't make too good of a waterfall.
But, if you think my meager knowledge on the subject can help, send me a pm.

awesome, i have been slacking on this today and probably will all week too cause of work and the 4th of july but i will definetly get ahold of you about that, i am really taking my time with this cause i want it to be perfect first time around, i know as soon as i release it i'm done. shit it took me 4 months to update space refuse and only cause TFD wanted it for his map pack.
