build your own map from scratch?

I mean, I've seen some nice new maps out there and bieng created, and I was just wondering if you could like extract all the metadata from a different map, place it somewhere, and then when you're done, merge it all in to one big .map file?

You should have searched before you posted. You will not be able to create new maps until HEK is released to the public.
