use only hmt, or use only sparkedit, or only hex editors in their mods.
in my opinion, truly great mods are born from combinations of uses between these 3 modding methods.
for example...
say you wanted to make it so that Foehammer drops off a pelican that you can fly in Silent Cartographer.
in Hmt...
you go to the pelican in vehicles, and make it so you can fly pelicans. (change 'P-driver' to 'W-driver')
save
in sparkedit...
swap the warthog instance with a pelican instance. (it's outside the security station up on the cliff
save.
play silent cartographer, and voila! your very own flyable pelican, and you didn't even have to complain to monooxideC to get it!
That's just one instance where you could use both, but there are tons more I'm sure! they can work interchangebly!
this may seem stupid, but I'm pretty tired of seeing lame half-assed mods out there using logs.
