[wip]{halo2}driveable pelican that doesn't flip!

It is using the pelican. I used the warthog's gunner seat name for the pelican's gun in the back. That way you can use the gun in the back.

You wouldn't want to hex or alius the warthog turret thing. If you did, then it'd say "Hold X to enter Pelican turret" for both the pelican's turret and the warthog's.
Hmm... so I'm guessing you had to have a newer build of Entity to do this? Wish it would just get released already. [edit]Wow, wish granted just a few hours later[/edit] I've got so many ideas for vehicles that can't be done yet.
So what'd you do? Add the traction (or shocks--whatever they're called in the ifp you're using) interflexive to the vehi tag? Or just throw the hlmt onto a warthog's vehi so it'd already have it? Or did you actually edit the phmo? Can yours be shot down like Headshot's can in Aerial?

dont have all the pictures of the pelican in one spot. If you want to prove to skeptics you don't have a mach or something take pictures with it on top of a base or somewhere else.

I'm gettind so many ppl on aim mow, its not even funny.
This project by far is my most well guarded secret. Nobody, no matter how close a friend or how many pleads will see it in its beta stage beyond my pics. Not to worry though, Everybody will be able to use it in its final form. I may even come up with a tutorial for it!

Umm, Its pretty obvious from the diffrent pictures, that it is just a warthog, with a Pelican where the horn is supposed to be. Why do you keep making up these bull stories about the diffrent things you did to get it to work?

Good job on your work. But mine drops vehicles =] .

If I set out to try to accomplish what you have done I am sure I could give the pelican a bsp collison. But I haven't been focused on modding for awhile and I am also on vacation. Soon to go fishing in alaska also.

Kudos to you if its real =]

just because it is a warthog turret doesnt mean its a warthog, though this is fishy.

if its real just prove it. Its so easy to prove if this is real or not. Take a video or take alot of pictures or post a download. I was happy at first now I think your lieing. I'm sorry if this is real though.

I changed the string ID of the tail gunner to the warthog turret so master chief and elites can use it!

Heres the tutorial I used when I first made a pelican. I still use it!

Pelican in multiplayer!:

Step-1 Open Maps First, open Insolence.
Now, open the multiplayer map in which you would like to play with the
driveable pelican. Also open 05a_deltaapproach.map. Step-2 Drag and
Drop To add the vehicle you must drag over the vehicle pelican. It will
drag over the other pelican vehicles for you. Navigate your way to the
pelican under the vehi tag. Drag and drop it from 05a_deltaapproach.map
to your map that you want the pelican in. Step-3 MoveBox Each time you
drag & drop a tag, a small status box will pop up to give you
information about what the program is doing while you wait. The longest
part is usually "Relinking" and it may seem like it froze.. It didn't,
it just has to do a lot of file reading & writing at this point, so
let it be. When the move is done, the box will go away. Step-4 Close
unneeded maps Close 05a_deltaapproach.map Step-5 Fix Seats Since this
vehicle was made for campaign you are going to need to change many
string indincies. Select the pelican vehicle and double click it. Then
underneath the change plugins there should be the following text "IFP
Plugin-"Vehi"Edit mode". Click it and it will change and say "IFP
Plugin-"Vehi"Dev mode". From there go to Unknown 11 under Reflexives.
Underneath the words "Author: Iron_Forge" There is a drop down bar with
and arrow on the right side with a bunch of numbers. We will only need
to edit 0-11. Under the 0 change the first string ID to "warthog_d".
Then you are done. Go to 1, and change the first string ID to
"spectre_p_r". Do the same for 2-10. For number 11 change the first
string ID to "warthog_g".
Step-6 Adding the pelican First go to 'map
options' in the upper left corner and go to 'sort by path'. Then click
multiplayer, and select "multiplayermultiplayer_globals.mulg". Double
click it. Got to Dev mode and choose unkown 2. Choose uknown 2 under
that, and choose number 2 in the upper left drop down box. Double click
the ID and change it to pelican, you can do the same for number 3, then
there are no more tanks, only pelicans. Step-7 Fix encryption Go to
'map options' in the upper left, and click 'fix map signature' and wait
10-20 seconds, usually less. Then ftp it over to your xbox and enjoy.
Note: The pelican will be flipping wildly, but if you flip it and hold
x near the drivers seat you will get in and drive.

Woah I didn't even know this was bumped... I thought this was a new topic... what ever did happen to this? Him and doom should work to make the perfect pelican.
Edit: Oh, and add the phantom and make it able to pick up ghosts. :o

I'm not to sure about the rest of you and I think Elite747 will get mad at me but I have kinda put this in the pile of mods that people show and never release. It has turned to a hoax for me and I don't really see any hope of seeing this ever coming out. Even though Elite747 told me he was going to release it... I still think he isn't going to release it :? . I really woulden't dwell on this topic guys becuase looking at those pictures also shows a very poor bsp collison if there were one. On a final note Elite747 did tell me it all went wrong and he was about to trash it :? makes me think further that he it was all a hoax.... He then asked if attaching a mach to the pelican would help give it bsp collison :roll: . I answered.

I assume Elite747 is going to be pissed at me but I might as tell what I know. Also No, I don't think I am going to be working on the Perfect Pelican with him =\. This dosen't seem real enough to belive anymore to ask him onto the job. I did ask him about a week or two ago when I first saw the topic but he wasent sure.

And if you all are wondering about OPP (Operation Pelican Pickup) that I have been working on... Well I can tell you that is real and all of you that have watched the video can belive that. Unfournatley Progress has been unbelivingly slow. I may work on it eveey few days but maybe for 10 minutes. Its just becuase I have been busy with my own personal stuff (family, sports, school etc...). However I have been working quite hard on it this pass day or two with some hex and the help of entity. I have made major progress and am probaly going to give my current progrss to my team to work on while I am gone since they like the project and are really quite supportive. The reason I am giving the current progress to my team also is becuase I am going fishing in alaska for the rest of the month =\. Sorry guys for having it take so long. Afterwards thoughit will be bsp collison, then making it so you blow up the pelican and the wings and engines will fly of. Then anything else suggested I will attempt =].

btw: theres this like RvB thing but its called grunts r people to and they have a pelican drop off a ghost for them n 1 of their episodes. and n the credits it says special thanks to TF6 so im guessing they made it...... so y dont we ask them?
