CORRUPTED FILE

I have a problem

Ive got my copy of Halo PC back from someone and the file sounds.map in Cab5 is corrupted. ive tried loads of sites and im not using P2P, so does anyone have any ideas

(I dont know anyone else who has a copy)

errrm...

someone recently got banned for asking for halo files from the disk, so i wouldn't try that...

i suggest just buying a new copy of halo pc, it's like 20$ now

Yes, it is wrong to ask for warez on this site, but he didn't ask for them.

As for your problem, I'm guessing that you already tried to reinstall. And if that didn't work just try to get a couple bucks and buy a new one.(You should probably make your friend pay)

I found out that the person who borrowed the game couldnt install it because it was corrupted when he got it.

I dont think i've mentioned it but cab.6 was also corrupted but nylon carpet always comes in handy (just rub it on carpet until it gets really hot, and it removes all scratches. always works

)

I plan to borrow a copy off of a friend, but thanks guys.

best place to look is direct off the disk. Mine is pretty scrateched up, but I can stull get files off of it.

oh, btw, remove a couple lines form your sig immediately, Unless you want some strikes against you.

The scrathes are very deep, so i couldnt get Cab 5&6 off

try some of the methods outlined here to repair your cd, and tell us if you have any luck.

Yeah i noticed that post earlier today. i plan to try the toothpaste one (ill probably screw it up with wax. ill post you when i try it, but it might be in the next few days cause im really busy
