Weird Screen Error Thing.

Post by RaVNzCRoFT »

Every once in a while my screen will kind of bug out. It will start generating these random multicolored lines across my screen. Sometimes they will just go away, but sometimes they will not. I restart the computer, and the lines are still there. It just happened to me and they would not go away, so I started the computer in Safe Mode. The lines went away, and they have not come back since then. However, I don't know if that's just dumb luck. I tried to take a screenshot, but the lines did not show up in it. Does anybody know what this problem might be? Would it be my graphics card, monitor, processor, or anything of the sort? Any help would be appreciated.

Im thinking this could be a VPU error. Is your computer running hot?

update your video card drivers, it sounds like that's the problem. but if the drivers are fine, then it could be a heat issue, might be time to add another fan to the case.
ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>

Do you have a CRT Monitor or Flat?Cause the old ones(CRT) can get old and start showing lines across the monitor.

I don't know how to check the heat of my computer.

I'll wait for my brother to get back from the Caribbean so I can ask him about the other stuff. I don't know anything about hardware.

By pressing 'delete' (or whatever it tells you to) when your computer boots up.
