[Sneak preview] UT in H2 *listen!*

Hi
due to the fact tfav made us a nice sound program, i decided to let you guys in on the action. This map is a little show of what to come..
It seems like a skin but it features custom sounds from Unreal Tournament on each weapon , most projectiles, and few other sounds like teleporter and game announcer. (that'd be 60custom sounds and 6 MB of data added to the map), which was quite a pain)

It got minor skinnings on the map done by me. oh ya and please don't tell me how the ghost looks like.. it's my first attempt of texturizing vehicles so ive put some random stuff on it to see what it'd be like.
The sky i customized a bit also so it's a little foggy.

Headshot and i are going to think of a plan on how to make the best Unreal Tournament mod for Halo 2 so expect something nice in the future :D
We didnt even decide which map it was going to be on, so consider this a very beta release. For me it was only a map to check up on the sounds that i've made and to do some beta-modding (ref: the vehicleskins, skins, the music in cave, and the sky)
i thought it was pretty kool / release-able :wink:

The sounds are pretty neat i like them, and if you like music go into the little cave where the overshield spawns, it'll give you some nice music to chill on 8) :D :P

So tell me please what you think of my skinnings and the custom sounds. any suggestions on the UT mod would be nice also :D

I Enjoy the feel of this map just from the pictures. I'm sure the sounds amplify it; but to me the skinning and the fog give it the "early morning/ dawn" feel to me. Good Job.

i like the idea of the mod, the sounds are good, but i'm not really a fan of the skinning, it kinda looks like you took the textures from deltatap and slapped them on coagulation. it's a good concept but the skin neeeds a little work to make if really fit this map.

rotten you are texture man 8)
you see through my cover.. there are a few shaders i injected from deltatowers lol. the skin isnt the main point though, the sounds were.., since i had to sort out all sounds for the REAL UT mod... *sneak preview :wink:
only the sounds was about 6 hours of work.. first selecting sounds per weapon (fire, reload and ready sounds), then internalizing, extracting editing and injecting again. :shock:
i messed around on this map with the shaders and such well this is what came.. although i did edit some textures a little (groundtexture).
im not into skinning and such, but seeing my ghost i know i''m gonna get good :P

yeah i actually liked the ghost alot, if the middle image was moved down slightly or just scaled down so that nubbin on the ghost was protruding through it, it would look better but i definetly like it. i say pick a level from UT and skin a map to look just like it. collosus always reminded me of a UT level, you should use it, not to mention no one ever mods collosus.

Im was going to add the UT sounds in forgotten hope but wma injection didnt work then so it made baby jesus cry :(

Should be fun to play but I wouldnt have used coagulation for a UT mod as UT maps are usually 1 kill per second...Coagulation isnt like that...

i skipped the game announcers / WMA injection.. since they froze my map, so i switched the sounds around in the MULG tag.. so when the game starts you hear "RAMPAGE" from unreal tournament 8)
we're taking lockout as a base.. and we're gonna remake it so it'll be Unreal Tournament-style, that means fast intense gameplay
