Problems w/ adding maps to main menu

Post by davidorr »

Ok, I've worked forever on adding maps to the main menu. The game is saved to my hard drive, but i don't think it should make a difference. The Map will appear on the menu but when i click it, it immediatley says you failed to load the map OR the map will begin to load, and when you think the map is done loading and you can start playing, it immediatly takes you back 2 the pregame lobby.

I have no idea what 2 do, it seems like ive tried everything. I thought it might be the area in dot halo where you enter the scenario and name etc. at the bottom it says unknown1 (with 3 options) and unknown2 (with 3 options) In every tutoriol ive read it says nothing about these

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Just use my mainmenu Editor, its much easier to use.

Also, You maps will not load right on an Editied mainmenu if you have the latest Autoupdate.

Ftp to your tdata folder, goto the halo 2 folder (xxxxxxxxx64) then find $u and rename it to anything.

Isn't necesarrily your problem but you can remove the downloaded.xbe, update.xbe, dashupdate.xbe because you don't need them. It will save you a little room.

While FTPing, go to the root directory of your xbox (has the folders C, sometimes D, E, sometimes F, sometimes G etc.) Then open E->TDATA->xxxxxxxx64 (replace xs with whatever numbers are really there.) In there will be a folder named $u. Rename it to $.

It's not that hard to remember guys..
Halo 2's TDATA print is located at:
E:\TDATA\4d530064\
Once there, just rename the $U folder to something else, like:
E:\TDATA\4d530064\$Umorecowbell
