Recording with out Capture Card

Post by Doctor »

I can't seem to figure this out; is it even possible? I would rather not have to spend the money for a Capture Card or Cable, for it does not seem like a wise investment at this time. Mb after my birthday, but that is a long way a way, and meh. :?

Well i know there is some weird way to do it with your VCR... but with crappy quality.

I would suggest going to best buy and asking where they keep the pinnacle movie amking sets and there should be other things that you can use to record videos of ur xbox with great quality.

How? I don't mind crappy quality; it is better then setting a camera up in front of my TV...

Yes there is. That used to be how i did a long time ago but i found a better way. The quality is HORRIBLE doing it with my vcr. I use my video camera. Im not sure how i could explain how i do it but what i have is a tv and xbox connected to a vcr. Then in the back of my vcr it has those red white and yellow cord slots. I use the one labeled AVI out. I plug this special cord that came with my camera into it and then just hit record on my camera. It retains good quality too.

I dont have a 360, just a regular xbox. I hooked up my tv to the dvd recorder in the back using the RCA cables (white, red, yellow). I then, hook up my xbox via the RCA cables to the front three slots. Depending on how you hook up your RCA cables, make sure your tv is on the correct video setting, then change your dvd recorder to the correct (well, ill call it video setting as well) video setting then start playing and hit record.

As much as we all hate doing it, go through the user manuals/directions. Mine explained how to hook up my dvd recorder via the tv and vcr. I have a vcr, xbox, tv, N64, and home stereo system all hooked up and ill tell ya, its pretty sweet. I got a 160 Watt bass amp, bad@$$ for Ghost Recon.
