Black screen of death
Black screen of death
Yesterday I spent a few hours making a mod on Dune and I loaded it up on my xbox and it counted down to 00 then went to a black screen and stayed there. All I did was transfer the key mach and moved it on the map and placed all the weapons and players on it to my liking. I don't see how doing just those two things would make it freeze. I didn't move it out of the death barrier so thats not my problem. Anyone have any idea why it froze on the black screen? Thanks for any help.

Ok, I used insolence and transfered the mach's over but now they dont have...weapon collison? Like Grenades, weapons, and projectiles just go right through it. I can still walk around on them but thats about it. I had "weapon" collision when I used Entity. Any reason why Insolence wouldn't give it collision or a way to fix it to where it does.

i didnt have the assault bug, after 100 times changing spawns in the BSP viewer , simply i didnt have ANY problems with it..

I only used insolence for the tagediting, but if entity had tag editor i would have NO more need to use insolence.. insolence wil mess up your map more then entity will.
i suggest using only entity for adding data, duplicating and cloning chunks.. using insolence to inject after using entity will mess up your map... its 1 or the other..

Your mod was a BSP conversion, not a Mach.

In what way was I possibly ragging on Entity? Entity is a great program, when it is complete, it will be the best to date. Entity does not support every tag yet, and machines have refrences to an array of tags, that is why I suggested to Mr. Balll to try using Insolence instead. Once again, Entity is an amazing program, with some features programs to come will never have, however Insolence supports all tags (With the exception of BSP and sounds), and Entity was released with some incomplete/missing IFP's that cause it not to transfer some stuff completly.
