Google "sketchup"

has anyone heard about google releasing their new 3D moddeling program sketchup? Does anyone know if it can moddel wavefront obj? Because if it can that would be great for modeling.

sounds vaguely related to halo2 modding and no. I haven't. Google it maybe?

sketch up has been out for years now, i think google are just buying it, i have it somewhere, i might dig it up if i can. Its not realy meant for casual moddeling, its used for planning buildings and projects like that, and unless they are adding support for .obj files, i think it dosnt support them.

EDIT: Please can you post a link to the artcle you read or something so i ca take a lok, just to check if were talking about the same program.

EDITED EDIT: Sorry, we are talking about the same one, i thik there only just releasing it publicly, i got my copy from my dads work...
