When an empty biped, meaning not player controled, is forced to use a walk animation it will move forward. if you were to do the same thing to a player it would just do the animation in one spot and wouldnt force you to move.

so that means you could make the mC do the moon walk? I'd love to have a gif animation of the MC moonwalk.

Actually yes. It's really fun, and really easy. I just swapped the backward walk with the forward one. If you want the moonwalk, just tell me where and I'll do it.

Actually, I had no clue that empty bipds actually moved until turk showed it. I thought that animations were just that: animations. I didn't realize that they actually moved you. The player is different though... I guess because of multiplayer. The animations would be out of sync, so they used a different method that could use smaller packets.

Oh, and for great fun, only change the walk, and not the run, and then see what happens. They start mixing together, and it looks pretty interesting.

Alright, now I'm back into halo modding. Know what that means? It's time to make a mod!!!

I have just the thing in mind. It's gonna be something to shake the ages! A mod that will change the way you play completely. Not just a weapon mod, or even a bsp conversion. I'm talking about a complete gameplay change. What kind of change? Flying elites.

What I want to do is make a proper flying elite. That means that it will be just like the ones from campaign, able to both walk and fly. I already have some ideas on how to do it. If anyone wants to help, let me know. I'm gonna need all the help I can get... I can tell this is gonna be a doozy.
