Well, I support it because nobody can think they can push us around without us showing them otherwise. I support it because Saddam Hussien was torturing the Iraqi's, and the final reason is because I'm agaist monarchies/dictatorships.

I oppose it. Bush seems to think that sending soldiers overseas and getting them killed is lowering the gas prices.

Im agaisnt the war. Bush made a stupid mistake of invading Iraq. The original reason we went to war was because of Weapons of Mass Destruction. Were there any? No.
America is supposed to be the worlds police force, but Bush is making us the agressor. He just wanted a war though.

I Dont Know About You And This Is Going To Sound Super Mean But The Current Rate Of Gas Prices (Roughly $3.00 A Gallon) And Comming From Somone Who Knows NO-One In The War, Well If We Sacraficed One Person A Penny Off We Could Be Onto Something.

No he didn't, the Iraqis aren't opressed by Saddam any more.

That's because Saddam said he did, like you suggest, countries with leaders like Saddam think America's afraid to go to war, and that it's weak, that's clearly with the war-prosteters are saying (weak liars, they are weak and afraid.), and Iraq's a dersert, what happens in the desert? Sand storms! What do sand storms do? Bury things! That's why we can't find them. You know, your politcal party's so upset with us Republicans because we won't satifie your emotional desires.

#1: No, the U.N. is. #2: No, my god. The Democrats go into all these lectures about how the Republicans are selfish and only care about themselves, and that they are evil. No, conservitives (the sane ones) represent the people. You will never
solve anything with peaceful solutions in politics and with other countries, the only answer is war.

warbandit no attacks, only post your reasons for support/oppose

I support the war because when I think of Saddam Hussein there is just too much of a striking resemblence to Hitler, and that we can not let another holocaust happen when we have the power to stop it. I also believe that the war should have been declared for the reason to remove a murderer, not for WMD's. Finally, I find it humoring that if you kill someone you have a chance of being put to death, and yet a someone that commits genocide can rule a country without any intervention from the U.N.

Sorry about that imgettinowned, I'll try to be less hostile in the future, now back on topic.

Hussien was an evil dictator, back in 1991 (desert storm), his held visitors captive and tried to seize kuwaits oil, he was a killer back then too. Here's an example of how much bad he's done: If we gave him back to the Iraqis they would kill him in the most evil way possible.....trust me, the details are too offensive to post.

I'm against the war because:
I ride a bike. I don't need oil. I don't find war a thrilling proposition. I don't believe in going to war to show that WE'RE STILL BADASS. I don't believe in going to war for WMD's WHICH DON'T EXIST. THEY NEVER DID. THEY DID NOT GET SAND BLOWN ON THEM OHMYGOD. I don't believe in going to war for faulty intelligence. I don't believe in going to war for the oppression of a tiny majority of the world that I otherwise wouldn't give a tiniest shit about. I don't believe in going to war in a country when we haven't finished our business elsewhere. I don't believe in going to war to fight a dictator who hasn't done as bad as the USA yet. I support those WEAK LYING PANSIES WHO ARE AFRAID AND DON'T SUPPORT KILLING PEOPLE.

USA, gtfo Iraq.

#1: Are you against economic freedom?(just curious, don't flame) #2: We have alternate fuels for cars. #3: Things get buried in the desert. #4: Peaceful solutions don't work on hostile countries.

That's a pretty vague concept there. If you mean free trade, no I'm not against it. Did you know that we control the oil in Iraq now? We don't allow it to be sold to anyone but our allies in Iraq. That's not quite economic freedom in Iraq.
#2: We have alternate fuels for cars.
Apparently people think it's easier to simply bomb Iraq and take their oil. Also the other sources of energy (ever seen those ads for radiant energy or biodiesel? they're actually oil companies that are trying to make themselves look better. These companies are tiny and produce nearly no energy. They produce better PR for oil companies)
#3: Things get buried in the desert.
Nuclear bomb assembly plants don't. WHOLE BUILDINGS don't. It's already been thoroughly proven that Iraq didn't have WMD's. The Bush administration has already admitted it.
#4: Peaceful solutions don't work on hostile countries.
That's just incorrect.

Peaceful solutions tend not to work on hostile contries, but on occasion they do.
I don't believe in going to war for the oppression of a tiny majority of the world that I otherwise wouldn't give a tiniest **** about. I don't believe in going to war in a country when we haven't finished our business elsewhere. I don't believe in going to war to fight a dictator who hasn't done as bad as the USA yet. So you would've let the Holocaust happen because it wasn't our business. Also, what do you mean by the bas the USA has done?

I didn't say because it wasn't our business. I said because they are a tiny minority in the world. Not to mention there's much worse going on in the world that needed to be fixed before Iraq. If the reason to invade Iraq is now to save the Kurds, then we should've invaded Sudan to stop the genocide there.

13,000 to 100,000 (that's a pretty insanely large range of numbers there) Kurds died because of Hussein. 98,000 innocent Iraqis have died thus far in the war in Iraq. How exactly does the same number of people get killed intentionally as the people die WHO AREN'T FIGHTING IN A WAR. Not to mention 2,381 American soldiers deaths, 17,648 combat wounded, and 210 coalition deaths. And Saddam's attacks on Kurds ended in 1991. At the most the war in Iraq has caused as many casualties as the MAXIMUM number of Kurds killed by Saddam.
Also, what do you mean by the bas the USA has done?
Hiroshima(140,000 died) and Nagasaki(130,000 died) for one.

They don't randomly throw WMD's into the desert, they would have storage bunkers for that kind of thing, something we can detect. We can do a wide spectrum full sweep for remnant radiation to check for nukes, or bio detectors for bio and chemical weapons.

I supported it, until the Iraqis got so pissed that America was still there that they started fighting them. They should just leave and let them sort their own damn country out.
