GMAX

I decided to try modeling Halo CE because after awhile, HMT and HHT modding gets boring. So, I download Gmax and start using it and everything's fine.

Except.....

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE GMAX!

Can anyone point me in the right direction, where I can find some Tutorials for a 150% Gmax n00b. Just so y'know, I can't do anything in Gmax.

You can find Kirk's tutorials on the main Halomods page. Once there just click the Tutorials link.

they're on this site. either tutorials section or video section... can't remember last time i watched em

Will the tutorials work for Gmax? Like I said I need 100% n00b Gmax tutorials, and these are for 3ds Max. Will they still work?

sorry but you will not find such things as "100% n00b tutorials" simply because the person writing it does not right on that level you have to adapt to it, thats when you gain skill.

In relation to getting models out of gmax and into 3dsmax for use in Halo, the problem here isn't with 3DS Max but with GMax. Gmax was developed with the intention of having limited import and export capabilities this, in general, is provided by the additional installation of 'gamepacks' available for various games like 'Quake 3', 'Black & White' and MS 'Flight Simulator'. As there isn't an 'official' way to use gmax (or max) to create Halo content you have to work around the problem using what abilities Gmax does have, in this particular instance the MD5 exporter.

Actually, I made this post a while back and I thought it would get stickied but........
It took a lot of searching and checking and I always add more as I save my progress and upload new info to it all the time.
