I am looking for help in modding the admin controls for Halo PC 1.07.

We run 5 servers that we try and keep clean for the kids that like to play Halo online. The problem we have is with players that come into the servers and try and strike up sexual conversations with the young players, stalk the female players and those that use profanity.

Normally we warn them, then kick them, then ban them if the behavior continues. Bt, there are some players that know that if they cuss (or whatever) and quit before we can use RCON to ban them, that they can continue to harass the young players on our servers. They just chg screen names and come back and do it again.

What we need is a way to capture the info that RCON uses to ban a player every time a player logs into the server. Then, we could use that info to ban a player (by adding it to the banned file). This info includes the player's CD serial number, IP address and maybe name.

It would be good if this information were captured to a file and saved for 24-48 hours before being automatically purged. And, if it is possible, I'd also like the ability to record each user's text messages in this file. Maybe it can do a capture for each game (player ban info and text msgs).

I have aqsked at Bungie's ste for hlp with this mod. The forum admin there sent me here.

Is there anyone that has the skills to pull this off for us? I'd even be willing to pay for it's development.

If you ban someone his name will be saved in the My Games/Haloce folder.If someone tries to enter a game with an existing serial number his number will be saved on the computer with the second identical number.Maybe that helps a little bit.


But besides Halo is rated "M" for MATURE and not fo little kids.

The whole problem is that we have people that quit before we can ban them. They know how the system works and they exploit it to stalk and harass other players.

Currently their info is not saved anywhere so that we can ban them after they quit the game.

Are you saying the ban info IS saved somewhere even if they have not been banned through RCON?

there shouldn't be little kids on the game anyway.

and if there harrasing girls Or "stalking people" the people on these servers should be MATURE(hence the rating Mature) enough to just not care about.. it is a game wadda the gonna do? follow you from room to room>? so what?


If people cant be MATURE then the shouldnt be allowed to play the game anyways..

Just make a server called "Hot Girl For Cyber!" and then just sit back and ban.
