PMI Help
I have just gone through the PMI tutorial, and I now have a pelican PMI into my blood gulch map. I was wondering how I would actually put the pelican into the map, should I do it via sparkedit, if so, how might I go about doing this? any pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, I've got a solution. I'm assuming you're using Bloodgulch and I hope you haven't modified your original bloodgulch.map.rebuild.map. Because if you did, you're screwed.
Open HMT and open up the original map rebuild. Go to the vehicle section and swap the Banshee for the Pelican (since the Banshee is so noobish--everyone hates it). Then close the map and I think that should work.
This is a very common method but it should do the trick.
(Oh yeah, and why it didn't work when you imported the tag was because the no vehicle is going to just pop up. Just like if you duplicated a rockethog, that extra hog wouldn't show up. Sometimes HMT and the most basic of tricks will always succeed).

i can tell u y that works
cuase the globals tag sets what will spawn i.e. the 6 origanal vechiles are in the globals as the mp vehicles so those get spawned and that is also the reaso nthere are vehicles in chillout ect...
If u wana do a method with out replacing the banshee so u can also put it back in u open the map in hht and open the globals tag and find the banshee refernce and switch it to pelican
Then when u load the game if usay i nthe game type 4 banshees it wil instead spawn the 4 pellis.
but meh
^^^^^^ his way is easyer

To make it enterable go down to the [vehi] tag and find the pelican. Where it says "Seat" Go to seat 0 and type in W-Driver where it says seat name. Inside the game, seat 0 is where the front of the pelican is and to get to it you have to get on top of the pelican. To make it drivable.. I think you change the vehicle ID to banshee.. Not sure.

@ leg0: no u do not have to change the id
@ MrBalll: that would work either cuase that would stil be a new vehicle to the map and u would still ned to repalce the origanal banshee..........
oooo i c u are saying have the duplicate as the back up so ucan just over write agian

Sorry there, not quite a flame.Veegie wrote:Stop flaming, thanks.
Malf, your post was spam, Veegie, your post was pointless.
And yes, conure is right. You dont need to change any I.D.'s, but it can help if you lower the weight, it makes it much easier to manuveur the Pelican, as well as messing around with the coll tag.
