I have been working on the materials a little. I haven't had much time to mess around with rendering lately (been working on my new rifle

) but I decided to work on this one a little. I actually have a light setup in front of him but I cannot get it to cast shadows I event tried cloning the working one behind him but no luck. Oh well, tell me what you think. Also, nice level renders above

Looks like you don't have the mastercheifs alphapasted of the rgb layers. Looks good, but the battle rifle is a little dark also.

I thought the alpha was for specular. He looks kind of nasty with it on RGB...

I know the Master chief is a super human cyborg, but it still may be a little hard for him to hold that marine body just with his hand. Try having the marine over his shoulders or more towards his biceps.

He can flip a military tank weighing x tons, I think he can lift up a 200+lbs marine in one hand.

You must have your sensitivity turned down... just push the little right joystick a bit down as you shoot

He didn't say it was uncontrolable while you're playing, he was saying that the master chief is supposed to be really strong and yet he can't hold down an SMG.

Back on topic...

Though the MC probably COULD hold a marine in one hand, he still looks quite awkward doing it in that render. Do what ben said "Try having the marine over his shoulders or more towards his biceps.". That might look better. ^_^

Okay, if even use 1 bounce on the light, my 3ds max dies, so don't bug me about the cluster of shadows on the wall.

If you can't tell, it's the inside of the storage bay on the Draco with 2 warthogs and Captain Keyes sitting at the controls to the doors.

I thought so too, but I stuck Keyes in the seat and I'm "HOLY F**** S***!", believe it or not, it's the right size...
Just stuck keyes on the turret, perfect fit.
Keyes is also a little shorter than the MC, so he makes stuff look bigger.
