ok this is what i did after i made the map, i went into tool and typed tool bitmaps levels\killa\bitmaps....went into guerilla changed it to show alpha and the compressed alpha....made a shader had my basemap the tif file i made and then did the detailed grass and changed the # to 25 .....changed the next thing tto detailed grass and changed it to 25 and then saved it into the shaders..... opened up m scenario made the sky and made the starting weapons. as i started sapien it said clusters in killa structure_bsp has no backround sound or sound enviornment. typed radiosity_quality 0 and radiosity_start but the numbers where at 000.000.000 and as classic said radiosity_save . no bitmaps or sky came up.......

Did you even make shaders? You have to make shaders as the same name as the material name you used in Max for your applied texture. Add your .bitmap tag into them, save them wherever, and recompile your map. If you want to use existing textures, just name your material name in Max whatever the existing shader tag was named.

Edit: Do you have a +sky material in Max? Wherever the sky is, you have to apply that area the +sky material name in 3ds. HEKTut goes over it I think.

kk thanks guys i got the sky and for a test made my ground all red and my level is still gray so im a gonna wait

Finally :P Radiosity taking a bit? That might be because either the level is huge, or in your shader tags, at the top, the level of detail is high. I recommend keeping it at either low/medium, or even turd for smaller surfaces. High is just too much and takes forever.

in his tut i DIDnt get the error saying bitmap withgrater than one bit or something like that so will that effect anything?

btw my levels' 5000 5000 1600 like he said to do in the tut is that big?

Ah yes, when it finishes, open console again (~) and type in radiosity_save so it all appears

how do i know when it finishes when its always at zero o and btw sapien crashes when i save it in radiosity
