You should ask TSF how he made Catacomb and Induction playable without the autoupdate.

What did you block the freeze places with?
Well, I did s'more testing (I was more patient this time) and it seems that the only thing that makes it freeze is if I try to look at the hole under the tower from the outside of the map. If I make a beeline for the banshee, and fly into the canyon, I can pretty much fly around as I please with no problems unless I get right in next to the hole. Since I was planning on bringing in the invisible walls anyway, I shouldn't have too much of a problem achieving my goals with this map. Thanks, Shade for posting it, and for opening it up for other modders.

So I'm starting work on messing with this map and I was really nervous about slc issues (don't know diddly about them) so I looked up this thread: http://files.halomods.com/viewtopic.php ... highlight= and I was all "Great. They're patches. Cant apply a patch onto a patch." Then I noticed YOU were the one who made them, so I thought I'd ask if you'd already added the free chunks for slc to this map.

anyway i dont know what for , but i think its my xbox.. but after 3 sec of playing my xbox locks up.. it might be because i run xbox v1.6b it got very cheap memory.. and i've had it with the SP headlong mod also, with all the stuff injected.. and why did vehicles and weapons rain down on my head at least i could see that

Yeah i already have the patch applied just go to the goof tag to edit it.. there should still be 90 sumthin free chunks left.

Your probably using the 1.0 update thats why its freezing.. you will need version 1.1(the one from the maptactular disc)

Hey Shade45, or anybody, I'm working on a BSP Conversion and found one that would be practically perfect for MP and all gametypes. So I was like woah, this would be awesome to make. I go on my computer, look through this Campaign map and find a crap load of SBSPs... problem is I can't tell which is the one I want to use...

Help? :)

the vehicles are spawned in the air tahts it. and it has nothing to do with the xbox version, i have that same version. if your using XBL, then you cant use that update, it HAS to be the one form the disc.

well i think it might 've got something to do with xbox version because some mods i wanted to play freezed on me also... while other people could play the map.. and i used the correct version autoupdate i'm not stupid i dont spent time posting useless posts while the thread gives you all the info u need :roll:

i know they are spawned in the air or else i couldnt see them falling from the sky... but my point is that
vehicles and weapons are spawned like so high that the weapons fall down and keep bouncing about.. and the warthog i saw falling down from the tallest building in headlong about that distance...voodoo i appreciate ur help but i'm not stupid :roll:

They are spawnd abit in the sky becouse it takes awhile to spawn items in a new bsp that you dont have a cord finder for and i didnt want to use DM becouse its would mess up the teleporters and the gametypes... and i just wanted to start my next project quickly so i probably rushed alittle :p

Check out the bsp in DM, or take a look at its dependacy's and look for items you know belong to that bsp ;)

didnt you see the teleporter adder update shade? it has a thing to fix gametypes after dm has messed with them

I actually forgot about that untill now.. i may update but ive already started my next mod so thats a maybe... other people are still free to make thier own mods with this map if they wish :D

so i tried loading it with 1.0 and it froze as soon as i turned, then i tried loading it with 1.1 and it went back to the mainmenu. does that meen i have 1.1b or "1.2" auto update? or am i just a nub?

It sounds like you have 1.1b and are adding it to the mainmenu.
