Profile Names on Halo

Arrgh! Halo won't let me change my Halo profile name to special characters! How do you do it? I tried going to My Games>Halo>savedgames and changing the names of the .lst files but it doesn't work. Help?

(I just need to know how to paste it. I know how to make the characters though:

Er...I knew that. Or use MS Word. I don't think you understood my question. I have the symbols. How do you get them into Halo? I hit [ctrl]+[v] to paste it in, but it won't work. Help?

o i never had to do that all i did was hold alt and press in numbers and i made my name all special
