Log Dissapearance in BG
in sparkedit, if any log of mine touches the ground, or if any part of the log goes under the ground, in the actual game, it does not appear at all... is this normal, or can i fix it?

hmm... it would be in the meta? how come plants can float but not be sideways? *confused, and just rambling on, not asking anyone in particular*Ang88 wrote:ive been looking through the rock meta, and some plant meta, but i can't find that property yet, ill keep looking

Ok, I've seen this asked quite a few times. Here's how to prevent them from disappearing. In SparEdit v3.01, when you select an object, three white lines come up going through the object from three different angles. These are the representations of the x, y, and z Axis. To allow the object to appear on the map, the point inside the object where the X, Y, and Z meet HAS to be above the ground. For larger objects where you can't easily guess this center point (such as large bouders), I simply raise it just enough to see the beginings of the lines poking out of the object. This should solve your "unappearing" scnery problem. There's nothing in the meta that makes this happen. You just have to place them right in SE.

There's no need to edit the model if you're trying to move logs....just snap their pitch to 180 so the point where the axes all meet is on top.
But for stuff like plants, you just have to use your best judgement on where that central point is. That's the only way I know how to keep this from happeneing.
