Issues with tool.exe

Post by Warbandit mk 3 »

I have a problem with tool.exe. When ever I try to build a cache file, I gives a message on command promt saying toolbeta.map is missing, and then ceases to build the map. I am using the first tool. If you could help me solve this problem I will be grateful.

(Toolbeta.map)That is normal and happens to every person making maps. Your problem is in what your typing or your map file names or content.

what exactly are you typing to build the cache file? and what does it say between the time you press enter and tool gives you back control over the command prompt?

Example: tool.exe build-cache-file levels\test\tutorial\tutorial

Failed to load toolbeta.map
Failed to load scenery.
Failed to load scenario.
Failed to load....Well you get the idea.

It couldn't compile the map.
