If you guys wanted your mods considered, label them properly.. Selan Forest and Cable Room both say Team Defiance right in the topic title. Zenon doesn't watch people mod or track who works on what, all he has to go by is the titles.pyroman31 wrote:Cable Room was just made by me. So Wasteland should be up there too.
With that in mind, there's no reason to exclude Wasteland as far as I'm concerned. (too late now, but keep this in mind for next month) xenowisp never indicated that it was made by Team Defiance, not in the title nor the post. The fact that he's a member of a team who also published a mod in the same month shouldn't exclude him from the runnings. I would be very upset if I made a mod on my own, TSF made a mod on his own, but mine was excluded because we happen to be part of the same team even though we didn't collaborate and such.xenowisp wrote:wastland was made by only me. but it is fine if you want to take it off and help to foil scotty's chance at motm glory.
xenowisp even said in the submission thread
And although pyroman said the same thing about Cable Room, the topic of the Cable Room post says -Team Defiance- very blatently.xenowisp wrote:I'll submit Wasteland by me
So just some things to consider for next month:
A team member shouldn't be excluded from a contest just because another team member has a mod in the contest.
People who post mods need to label them more correctly (that's all Zenon has to go on). If it's a team mod, put that it's by your team. If it's an individual mod, don't put your team name all over the topic and such.
Goodluck to the contestants this month, all good mods, but my vote goes to Scotty

[and just to clear things up because I saw xbox's post below here, I'll admit that I actually have 30 accounts and they all voted for Scotty.. he really only has 3 votes.. muahahaha

Edit by xbox7887: I knew it!

Yeah, I'm sorry I brought it up. It puts the wrong ideas into peoples' heads.
People, I command you to not make accusations anymore. All I was doing was asking a simple question about how MOTM is opporated, and nothing more. Cable Room and Biohazard are in the lead, I feel, because they're the top mods of last month. The other mods are excellent and very fun to play, but with thousands of members on halomods, I'd expect for more than just 85 people to have voted after the first day.
Anyway, good luck to the submitters. This is the best month I've ever seen.

Would've been a tough call if Selan Forest (my second favorite mod ever) or wasteland were in the running. Of the available choices, though, cable room is, imo, the best one. When I first explored it on my own after downloading, I thought it was too small and wouldn't be any fun. Played it in a group... one of our favorites now.
@tjc2k4 - Thanks for backing me up. Like i said in the post, i dont really care. But at the same time i dont like being screwed over and ignored. Someone even locked my wasteland topic, while they let other topics from the same time frame run wild.
@people who want a short list to choose from in motm. I personally think the more mods in motm the better. That way the votes will hopefully be distributed better and there's more variety to choose from. And a lot of new guys can be happy to see their stuff in motm.

Not to be harsh, but I wasn't trying to take sides or anything, I was trying to show some problems with the system and how they could be fixed, you just happened to be the example in this current MOTMxenowisp wrote:@tjc2k4 - Thanks for backing me up. Individual mods need to be seperated from Team Mods. If half a team works on a mod, the other half shouldn't be barred from submitting individual mods, everything just needs to be clearly noted at the time of posting the mod. Who worked on it. Who was involved. If you don't want it considered a team mod, don't plaster your teams name all over it. If you want it to be a team mod, don't say "But I did most everything" or something. Just be straight and clear about who did what when you post the mods & when you submit them for MOTM.
As far as the variety in MOTM vs. Short lists, I tried to put everyone who submitted a mod and followed the rules into MOTM, I also think that more variety and more mods are better, but new MOTM person, new rules & philosophy

Anyway, go Scotty!!
