Request for more moderators or to bring back the Arbiters

Is somebody flaming or causing problems? Is there a post that is too large for content? Moderators will check here often to discover problems quickly.

It isn't.
Xero seems to get away with it often, I have talked to a Admin or JA about this, (don't remember who) and he said calling someone a retard isn't flaming.

So what your saying is moderators read their PM's, but can't be bothered with reports?.. ;oP

It seems silly to PM a single moderator when you can report something and send the message to all moderators...Then if moderators took the time to actually leave a reason/explanation of what they thought of the report, and actions they took when they closed the report rather than just checking the box, there would be tracking on all reports, offenders, reporters, etc...So you could actually keep track of who's being a constant idiot, rather than only seeing issues here and there because other moderators are dealing with it...
Iron_Forge, when people go and do a report spree of 100 reports (They know who they are), and someone posted a really important one in the middle of it, we may not get to it for several days... If it's that important, you should PM an admin/JA. Or, you could post it in Complaints and Suggestions if you wanted a discussion on it.

Hikaru, I think you're missing the point.

Quality > Quantity
You're right, I did miss the point.

" There aren't any open Reported Posts"

Don't make it seem as if we don't do anything. Most of the reports are just sigs, and the reports normally don't last over a day.

It's been my experience that even when moderators/JAs/etc. were no longer required to deal with sig violations, reports would still remain open for several days..And when finally closed, the report would just be closed with the checkbox, making it impossible to track what action was taken, if any...

We will usually comment on what action we took before we close the report for logging purposes.

I always comment on the action I made, unless there are double reports, in that case I close the doubles and comments on one of them.

To save trouble here is what people should do when they break a rule they should report themselves and pm an admin telling them what they did wrong.

To be honest, halomods forums started it's downfall the day the files forum was put up. The influx of people and problems was/is rediculous.

I miss the smaller forums so much.

The really small ones are boring, nobody posts. But the middle ones, the ones between this and the small ones, are the best. These are an... experience, I guess.
