Beastman, quick question for you. I have sucessfully eidted a few weapon models inside Milkshape finally after playing with it for a week. I feel i have agood feel for it. I searched through the help files(which aren't very big). How come when you zoom in to close, it seems to clip the model, is this normal? Also is there any way to pick vertex's from the 3d view. There is alot of stuff i can see there, but seem unable to select.

Thx,

unfortunatly ur gonna get negative answers for most of those questions, yes that clipping is normal, it is because when u import the model it is very small, but in milkshape that clipping usually only happens in the perspective view, but on the other three views u can select a set of verticies and right click and go to frame selection, that will save u from having to hold shift and scroll your wheel to zoom in, u can get real close on those three screens, yes u can model with the perspective view, but not for halo stuff, because they are so small u can barly move the screen without flying off and cant find the model again. You have to remeber this is a cheap program made by a company that cant afford to make somthing real powerful, there are many limitations, those things u arnt able to select will only be selected by the regular 3 screens for halo, and u just have to find a way around then not being selected, make sure ignore backfacing isnt on, and every once and awhile go to solid view to see if ur model looks good or not. Most people know by now that i dont support milkshape very much just because of frustration in how its really not a good program, but i do like the fact that it is very stabel in importing and exporting from halo, unlike gmax, 3d max, maya etc which is curious since in every other way all those beat milkshape.
