Changing magnum.

Post by dos mes »

Since the au the grenades and the pistol have been different and unchangable but the grenades can be changed if duped; so I was just making sure that if i duped a magnum i could change the power and it would actually change correct?

No you can edit it but the update auto brings it back to what it used to be. :(

Sounds like the duping thing could work. But wouldn't it be simpler to just trick the update? If I remember right, all you gotta' do is change H2's default.xbe to a diff name, like efault.xbe or h2.xbe. You could also keep a copy of default.xbe if you want to play normal.
Keep in mind that launchers (evox, ux, ava, etc) look for default.xbe when listing progs or games, so you will have to navigate to the file through a file manager to execute it. You can also use this trick to hide games from showing up in the list, so your nephews don't stumble across Liesure Suit Larry when you're not paying attention.
